Lace Utility

Lace top - Zara, Cargo jacket - Volcom, Skirt - H&M, Necklace and Sunglasses - Forever 21, Bag - Salvatore Ferragamo

Cargo, lace, and leopard print. These three things jumbled together seem totally right to me. I love casual, cool looks like this to get me through my days.

This weekend looks like it is setting out to be a fun-filled extravaganza. Making Time is on tonight and I plan on dancing all night to good music (especially Dirty Beaches . . . again). A birthday celebration on Saturday, and you know what that always means. Then I'm going to go see The Horrors play Sunday night. Can't wait :)

Washington Square

Crochet Top - YesStyle, Skirt - H&M, Sandals - Boutique 9, Bag - Hobo International

Another one of those outfits that represent the last of summer here on the east coast. Worn at one of my favorite parks in the city, Washington Square Park. I have a few more summer looks to get out of my system on here before I really start delve into fall.

It's a Wednesday, but I am so ready for the weekend because I am sure it is going to be just as good and maybe even better than last weekend.

Hanging in the Park

Sweater - We Are Rubbish, Skirt - YesStyle, Belt - vintage from CALICO, Bag - Hobo International, Shoes - ModCloth

Yes, I am a total fan of color blocking. Who isn't? This is an outfit I wore way back when I was still in Cali. I totally see myself rocking this look again this fall here in Philly. A pleated skirt, knitted sweater, and crazy belt is a combination that never gets old.

Gold Lions

Pants - H&M, Top - BB Dakota from Tilly Boutique, Shoes - Via Spiga, Bag - Velvetine

Finally, another NYFW post. This is what I wore to the Honor show at Lincoln Center. After the show I quickly rushed to TopShop in Soho where Natalie was hosting an event. I was in a menswear sort of mood, so I busted out my favorite mustard trousers and go-to oxfords. The weather was pretty warm in NYC that weekend, so a sheer top was the smartest choice. There is nothing more refreshing than dressing like yourself at one of the biggest weeks in the fashion industry and feeling totally confident. I met so many awesome new people that week, as well as old friends. It was an unforgettable experience. You can be sure to see me around the next NYFW, as well!

So, my birthday weekend was a total success! Non stop fun from Friday to Sunday. The highlight of it all was starting our very own tabletop dancing rave party at our favorite dance venue. It was one wild night. Everyone I know and love came out . . . it was too perfect! And thanks for all your lovely birthday wishes! You are all too sweet!

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Dress - Threadsence, Blazer - H&M, Bag - Velvetine, Flats - Wanted

Gah!!! I'm 24!!! Gah!!! I'm old. But not really old. I never make a big thing about my birthday anyways. But it's so cool that I am able to spend it with all the best people right here in Philly! And my sister is in town. I'm so happy :) And finally you guys get a good look at my new hair! What do you guys think? In my opinion, it is so much more me. I feel so chic and cool with my new cut. I don't think I can ever go back to long! No way!

Have a nice weekend! I'm going to be make the most out of it :)

xoxo

LBD

Dress - Lulu*s, Shoes - Via Spiga, Bag - Hobo International

Can't ever go wrong with a little black dress. And it never hurts to go the extra mile with some really cool crochet detailing. Who says black has to be boring?

Excited to celebrate two birthdays this week! My friend CJ from work is turning 24 today, and I turn 24 on Saturday! 24 on the 24th! That's supposed to be lucky right? Anyways, fun plans ahead with all of my favorite people. It's going to be rad!

Feeling Quite Spotty

Top - ModCloth, Jeans - Denim Factoria, Bag - vintage Salvatore Ferragamo, Sandals - Wanted

Just a quick little outfit update. The combination of polka dots and matching lipstick never fails in my book!

All the Stars and Boulevards

Denim Jacket - GAP, Lace top - River Island, Jeans - SOLD Design Lab, Sandals - Boutique 9, Bag - Hobo International

Stunning evening out around Rittenhouse Square a few weeks ago. Seriously one of the most magical places in Philly when the sun goes down. City vibe to the max with people eating extravagant dinners on the sidewalks, browsing the shops, and walking their dogs.

This is my favorite denim jacket. I've had it since high school and I don't see myself getting rid of it anytime soon. It's been through my punk kid phase, my preppy phase, my wanna-be hipster phase, my I-don't-have-anything-to-wear phase. The denim is so soft and perfect. It is always the first thing I grab before heading out the door. A denim jacket. How California casual of me.
