Yesterday evening I attended the Erin by Erin Fetherston Fall 2012 presentation with my sister at Milk Studios. The line was huge to get in, but thankfully we got there a bit earlier and the line moved pretty fast. The mood of the presentation was perfectly cool. The first thing you saw when you walked in was a girl on a harp adding her beautifully stringed tunes to the catchy music playing in the background. The collection was extremely feminine, absolutely dreamy, and ethereal. The true definition of Erin's aesthetic as a designer. So many soft looking fabrics, glitzy yet subtle embellishments, a candy store spread of pretty colors, and pops of edgier all-black looks. I still can't get that pink sequined skirt out of my mind! I wore sequins to the show (which you guys will see on the blog soon), and I definitely fell for Erin's use of all things shiny and eye catching. I even caught Erin herself mingling with the crowd, and was lucky enough to snap a quick picture.
Going to get out of bed now and get ready for a long day ahead of me. Starting it off with the Derek Lam FW 2012 show, some appointments, and then the Diane von Furstenburg show at Lincoln Center. We get to go backstage before the show at Derek Lam, so behind-the-scenes action will be on the blog soon :)
