One of my favorite things to do in Philly with my friends is go out and eat at new places. Varga Bar is a restaurant/bar that is literally right next door to my old apartment in the lovely and quaint neighborhood of Washington Square West. It's always buzzing late into the night because they have an awesome drink selection. Not to mention, the food is divine. I'm always down for a place with a good burger and fries combo. And I love that the place has drawings of the Varga Girls on the walls. A sexy that never gets old. Below is what my friends got . . .
Varga Salad // roasted butternut squash, arugula, mint, red onion, toasted pumpkin seeds, shaved parmesan, cider-clove vinaigrette, chicken
Eggplant Parm Sandwich // parmesan, manchego, chipotle aioli, heirloom tomato, organic greens, spicy tomato sauce, organic green salad, white balsamic vinaigrette
Warm Brie Sandwich // green apple-cherry chutney, arugula, spicy mustard aioli, organic green salad, herb vinaigrette And this is what I got . . .
Turkey Burger // bacon, cheddar, sprouts, heirloom tomato, organic greens, pickled red onion, country white roll, fries
Perfectly juicy. I don't eat meat that much, but when I do, I go all out.
Going to try to more food posts like this from now on. I'm always eating at yummy places, and it's fun to share them with you all :)
Hopping and bopping around NYC right now and helping my sister move into her new apartment on the Upper East Side. Loving life right now!
