Dots are slowly becoming my signature it seems. You can find me wearing them at least once a week. Whether I'm busy bee-ing it up at work, frolicking around town doing nonsense with my friends, or getting down hard on the dance floor, I find that they work in any kind of situation. The asymmetrical hem on this one is fun and a little sexy, which is a cool balance I try to aim for in all my outfits (at least I hope so!).
I just came back from another weekend in NYC since my mom only has a few more days left on the east coast before she heads back to Cali to join my dad. It was a gloomy and rainy weekend, but that just made for an even better reason to take it slow and do things like browse historical art at the MET or go shopping at the Asian food markets. I went to see a gig in Tribeca with some friends, as well, which is always a nice thing to do on a Saturday night. Pre-gaming in front of my mom was pretty awesome, I have to admit. Now she knows what her two "darlings" are up to most days.
Are you guys ready for this week? It's gearing up to be busy for me work-wise, but it's also my friend Cheryl's birthday, so you can expect us to be celebrating all week and going out to see some awesome bands play. I am seeing some major epic moments to happen.
P.S. And make sure to check out 31Bits, the organization behind the bracelet I am wearing in this post. All of their pieces are handmade by women in Uganda. 31Bits buys jewelry from these women and helps support their means of income, liberation, equality, and education. It's a wonderful and innovative way of reaching out and really making a difference in the lives of these individual women.
