TLC

And since a lot of you were interested . . . let's move onto my beauty/getting ready/looking presentable routine . . . It might look like I use a lot of stuff, but really my routine is quite fast and simple. I have no time for any of that extra fluff in the morning. I'm a girl on the go. And I prefer to keep it this way.

Skin care is very important to me because I feel most confident when I don't have to wear that much foundation or concealer when I go out. I like a clean, fresh, healthy looking face. I start and end my day with a good, deep cleaning face wash. I love Biore's Blemish Fighting Cleanser. It's not harsh at all and keeps all those nasty bumps away, and warns them if they even think about popping around without an invitation. And I have to start my day with a lightweight sunscreen. My skin is pretty sensitive, and I had the idea of burning, and the though skin cancer makes my skin literally crawl, so I try to protect is as much as I can. I love the sun, but I don't love it so much that I'll risk my health for it.

When it comes to hair, I keep things to the bare basics. Thank goodness my hair is short. I hardly even need to brush it. I dampen my hair in the morning and apply Garnier Fructis surf hair throughout, scrunching my locks as I go, and then I let it air dry for a perfectly messy look. When I feel like my hair needs some extra TLC, I'll rub a dollop or two of Bumble & Bumble's Quenching Complex after I shower. It locks in extra moisture so my hair stays soft the next day.

Prepping the skin. I have a long work day, and I don't want my makeup to slide off my face by the end if it, so a good prep job is key. If I'm not spending an entire day outside, I'll skip on the sunscreen, and just start off with Estée Lauder toning serum, a light layer of cream moisturizer, a layer of foundation (either Estée Lauder or Revlon), some concealer where I need it, and then eye serum for moisture and so that my eye makeup stays put. When I am on the go, and need to do my face quick, I'll just apply the primer and then my foundation and I am good to go. The products I use depend on what I'm doing that day, or what mood I am in. But I love each and every one of these products the same.

Finally, my assortment of favorite products that I quickly throw on before heading out the door. Sometimes I'll just do blush and a light eye shadow. Or I'll skip blush and do a dark lip and a sexy cat eye. Whatever floats my boat at the particular second that I sit down in front of my mirror is what goes for the day. It usually works out for me.

Estée Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow in Sizzling Copper, Estée Lauder Extreme Black Mascara, Revlon Grow Luscious Lashliner, Estée Lauder Kajal Eyeliner in Bllackened Cocoa, Maybelline Lipstick in Red Revival, Smashbox's O-Gloss, Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour, Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss in Sunset Peach, Pamplemousse Lip Balm, Pacifica Island Vanilla Perfume Roll-On, Estée Lauder Blush in Fearless

Loved seeing these products. I usually try to use all oil-free cosmetics and not a lot of stuff on my hair. What shampoo do you use?
