Been doing a lot of spring cleaning when it comes to my wardrobe. I always try to find ways to edit down a bit. I hate a wardrobe that that is spilling over with things I don't wear anymore. I've stowed away my chunky knit leftover from winter and replaced them with my more delicate, summery pieces. I tend to dress more boyish in the fall and winter seasons, but once spring and summer roll around, you can only find me in short skirts and pretty dresses. And the colors I wear are lighter and more toned down. I think it's just natural to want to be dainty and girlish in the springtime. But no matter how flirty my dress may be, I don't feel myself unless I gritty it up with some distressed denim or a heavily rugged leather boot.
I'm always browsing Shopbop.com to find the latest pieces I know I HAVE to add to my closet. Already I edited my browse session to 5 must-have, statement-making pieces that I see myself wearing over and over again this spring . . . and in way more ways than one.
Mid Moto Boots by Rag & Bone
The cutout leather upper adds a fresh texture to this classic shape.
Lunaria Dress by Joie
I always look for a pretty floral print, a bold hue, and subtle sheerness when it comes to the perfect springtime dress.
Leather Moto Jacket by Juicy Couture
The light tan color of this jacket makes it feel more suitable for warmer days.
Macy Lace Tiered Skirt by BB Dakota
I love a touch of lace in the springtime, especially when it's paired with contrasting elements like a vintage rock tee and moto boots.
The Floral Stiletto Jeans by Citizens of Humanity
The pastel tones of these jeans make the crazy print much more subtle and casual.
