SCHOOL GIRL

Top - Forever 21, Skirt - LA Made, Blazer - vintage, Bag - Urban Outfitters, Shoes - Dolce Vita, Bracelets (starting from top) - Threadsence, Vanessa Mooney, Free People, Urban Outfitters, Ring - Free People

I didn't have time to put together another Chicago post yet (been too busy celebrating our Independence Day), so I thought I'd just post some pictures that haven't made it onto the blog yet. Yeah, I no longer have an ombre. The look you see above is me on one of my funkiest days. I threw together a mish mash of textures (silk and crochet), colors (pink and red), and prints (wild flowers) just because. Random and of-the-moment is my favorite way to go.

For all you Americans, what did you do on the fourth of July? We threw an epic party the night before to kick start things early. We cooked some bad-ass guacamole and a watermelon feta cheese salad, danced to a fine array of tunes (including Call Me, Maybe) and played flip cup (a.k.a. beer flip) and just laughed A LOT. It was awesome. The Fourth itself was pretty laidback and chill, with a late brunch, park lounging, frisbee throwing, and backyard chilling. A nice way to end a day off in the middle of the week. Back to the grind today. I'm so tiiiiiiired. But hey, Friday is tomorrow!

I love your outfit Dylana!

The schoolgirlness of it is just too cute! :)
The combination of the red and pink makes for a super fun and peppy outfit that makes me smile even on this blargh Thursday.
I especially love your blazer and the pattern of your top.

Your fourth of July sounded uber fun!

Hang in there. It's almost Friday!
Can't wait to see more of your posts!

Hey Dylana! Cute outfit, btw - I just got that Akira kimono you had from UPS just a hour ago! It's so pretty!!! I felt the need to get on here and note this because, in my efforts to find it, I was introduced to both your sister's and your blog via Pinterest since I saw a picture of her wearing it on there. (I obviously repinned that to my themed board featuring kimonos and the like - & needed to know where that lovely kimono was from.)

If you ever happen to coincidentally (emphasis on coincidentally!) see some chick that is maybe me or not me with the very same kimono - know that I am thankful & that I did literally discover this kimono because of you! Since I also happen to be from OC/LA and moved here with my husband to Philly myself in the recent year, I must pay credit where credit is due. Lastly, this is totally not meant to be creepy, haha! Admittedly (and hopefully as a comfort,) I haven't really followed personal fashion blogs - still! I think it's a wonderful thing in many ways for those of who express/share through blogs and readers alike! Thanks again!
