SUPREMELY SPUN

Crochet Dress - vintage, Seamless Romper - Free People, Boots - Dolce Vita from Dear Fieldbinder, Backpack - Urban Outfitters

The Lower East Side. Gritty with its graffiti and edgy with the hipsters on nearly every street corner. Inspiration everywhere. Me just going around with my happy, happy shopping bag and making an adventure of it all. This week has been and will continue to be full of back and forth between Philly and NYC, with fashion week and all. I basically felt like I was living in the Big Apple this week. Feeling kind of exhausted, but also very motivated and inspired. It's a funny thing how everything works out.

This dress was a vintage find at my company's sample sale. Epic score I got to say. The crochet is pretty sheer, and I think I got a double take from a person or two at every street corner this day. Not that the looks dampened my mood or made me reconsider my fashion decision. The stares just made me laugh. Is my seamless romper really that risque? The grandmas all seem to think so. Oh well. My bum is covered. And that is all that matters. Sometimes it's fun to be a little daring with fashion, and force people to look again. Boo yaaaaaaaaaaaah grandmaaaaa. xo

Epic score indeed! I love the "perhaps too risque" looks when I'm wearing something daring.. so funny how it are always the grandmas giving the evil look...

XOXO from the Netherlands,
Lucia
