Downtown // Before the Hurricane

Dress and sweater from Calico, Natalie + Dylana x Modern Vice Benni boots, Rebecca Minkoff bag

Don't you just love those days when no plans are written down in a book? The day is blank and your next move is entirely up to you. My friends and I made good use out of a lazy and completely open Saturday on the Lower East Side in NYC. One of the last warm days of fall before LES turned into a scene out of I Am Legend. I haven't been down there since this beautiful day a few weeks ago, and haven't gotten a first hand impression of the damage and emptiness of LES after the hurricane, but I have hope that one of my favorite parts of the city will be back up and running again. NYC is just as vulnerable as the next city, but it's known to get back up on it's own two feet soon after even the most harsh of circumstances. It's just something in the blood of the city I think.

Please, have a heart and lend a helping hand to those who have suffered the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. You can make a donation big or small to the American Red Cross. A little goes a long way. If everyone comes together, the chaos of the hurricane can settle down as fast as it can.

Beautiful outfit! Lovely photos, it's crazy how much can change in a day... Hope that NYC will recover asap from hurricane devastation.

Great photos! I just moved to New York a few days ago to do fashion photography. Probably not the best time to move but is there ever a good time to move? Everyone I have talked to are doing well though. My heart is with everyone affected by the hurricane.
