Sunday, the morning after a day full of festivities with the Quiksilver team was one slow and relaxing. It was over 80 degrees, the sun was out in all its California glory and the waves crashed with perfect rhythm. I sat out on the balcony of my hotel room and read as I attempted to work on my tan. Coming from a freezing Philadelphia to what basically felt like summer was quite the delight. A much needed unwinding for my body and mind. In that moment all I cared about was what I was feeling. The sun on my skin. The sea salt on my hair. And the gently breeze flapping the pages of my book. To sit back and fully relax with just myself and my thoughts was quite liberating. Sometimes it's just the simple, little things like this that make all the difference. And I left Cali with so much remembrances of why it will always be my home. And how thankful I should be that it is.
