I know the whole plaid shirt tied obtrusively around your waist thing is quite trendy right now, but oh well . . . I'm freaking doing it! It's so nice not to have to worry about how your butt looks like in your body-conscious mid-length skirt or maybe-they-are-too-tight-for-you skinny jeans because it's covered up by the modern day fashion girl's version of a leather breechcloth. Thank you so much Kurt Cobain for bringing the plaid-on-waist charm into the mainstream. It is oh so convenient. An outfit lacking that extra element of texture, color and/or pattern just feels too naked to me. An uninteresting sight for eyes. Yeah it's unnecessary and yes it's a tad random, but who cares. It's fun to look down and see that row upon row of plaid just hanging there whenever your eyes get bored.
Thank goodness today is Sunday and . . . St. Patty's Day! Most likely I wont' be wearing green because I don't own much of it, but I will try. This past week has been crazy exhausting with work. And knowing so many of my friends were in Austin for SXSW didn't make things any easier. The weekends are never long enough, but I'm going to try my hardest to make the most out of this one. And I wouldn't mind have a beer or two or three! Happy St. Patty's Day ya'll!!
