Xo, Philly

I love when I have an out-of-towner come visit me in Philly. My friend Mckenzie came to visit from NYC and I showed her all around the city in just a day. Playing the tour guide is a hobby of mine! It's not often that I can go back to my old favorite haunts from when I first moved to Philadelphia, and feel once again how much these places mean to me. Now that I live in a different part of the city from when I first moved here, a little further away from downtown (Center City), I find myself missing the hustle and bustle of the heart of the city. Walnut Street and Rittenhouse Park are always a delight to visit. Then there is Old City with its lush parks and beautiful brownstone row homes that paint pictures of what life was like when America first took its stand. South Street and its crazy and kooky shops of randomness yet everything you really need all in one place. I really can't get over how beautiful Philadelphia is. And every single part of the city is different from the next. And the fact that the city is super walkable is so amazing. Exploring by foot is my favorite option. You miss all the hidden spots any other way! And now, off to NYC for the weekend after work today  . .

Hey Dylana! I live in CT now, but I'm from Lansdowne, like less than 10 miles from the center city. I'm visiting again this summer to get baptized, so do you have any reccomendations for what to do this time around? I'm glad you love showing people around; it's really one of the coolest places ever. I miss Pennsylvania every day! And I like your shirt in this post. :)
