Fossil bag and Fossil watch, H&M overalls, Rebecca Taylor blouse, Karen London necklace and cuff, Boera knuckle ring, Urban Outfitters x Miista shoes
Now I can show you guys my full look from NYFW SS14 day two. I've realized that the best way to approach dressing for New York Fashion Week is to start with standout accessories and take it from there. I knew that I wanted to rock these streamlined yet absolutely outstanding overalls from H&M during NYFW, but wanted it to act as the foundation for everything else that I planned on piling on top. And accessory fun time begins! I collaborated with Lucky Magazine and Fossil to bring some fun accessorizing to one of my New York Fashion Week looks. Leopard prints are a fashion week must. It's something you throw into your luggage because you know you will need it at some point during the day. To spice up your party look. To dress up a pair of boyfriend jeans. Really though, leopard print is like the butter to every sort of jam. Thank goodness this little leopard printed sweetness in the form of a Fossil bag just in time for fashion week. It saved my life. Just big enough for all of my essentials and capable of being worn cross body so I can have my hands free to shoot street style and video footage throughout the day.
Usually I stray from accessories that seem too classic and timeless. You can catch me on most days in layers of studded and turquoise embellished knuckle rings and cuffs. It was surprising how simplistic I dressed this season. It was like I was trying to embody a sense of calm and put-togetherness so as so not lose my mind in the midst of all the Lincoln Center madness. This watch by Fossil is just that. A simple finishing touch that's both functional and aesthetically pleasing on my one bare wrist (the other one encased in a cage-like contraption). Gotta balance the whole arm party look somehow. Why not with a watch? I like it's subtlety. And there you go. An in-depth point by point of my head-toe-toe NYFW Day 2 look. Leopard prints and tortoiseshell watches. Check and check. As for the shoes? How sick are these? Thank you Melissa for hooking me up girl :)
I'll be working with Fossil and Lucky Magazine next season, as well, to showcase my holiday accessory picks. Keep a look out! xo
