So excited to share an exciting L'Oreal project that I got to take part in alongside other NYC bloggers. Growing up trying on my mom's L'Oreal makeup, this campaign was pretty much a dream come true. The makeup giant partnered up with the MTA to bring a new way to experience beauty . . . underground .at the Bryant Park subway station! L'Oreal is using its #BringYourBold campaign to introduce their Intelligent Color Experience, a "smart" kiosk that recommends colors based on what you are wearing (a camera detects the colors that you are wearing) and whether you want your makeup to "clash" or "match" your outfit. The beauty products recommended for you can be purchased right at the kiosk with an easy swipe. It's a cool and innovative concept! The kiosk will be up and running until December 30th, 2013 at the Bryant Park subway station at 42nd Street and 5th Avenue, so make sure to check it out if you happen to be passing through. Another version of this video, plus the second look I shot for the campaign will be showing all over Taxi TV inside NYC taxicabs :) Haven't seen that version yet!
Above is the first look I shot, and the outfit that is featured in the video playing at the kiosk station. It's so funny to see myself on screen like this. And with my hair in a bun. The outfit was a feminine take on the 90's grunge era mixed with some punk influence (hence, the Dr. Martens). Read the little feature that L'Oreal did with me on their site here.
How to you #BringYourBold?? You can catch me on the bright side :)
