Happy Easter Ya'll!

Happy Easter Sunday for those celebrating! I'm still recovering from my cold/flu, so I'm probably not doing much today except kicking back. Gonna go head out for a run along the river with my friend in a bit and maybe getting brunch (depending on how my throat feels). But I hope that the rest of you spend the day with family and friends. There's nothing better than getting to be around those that make you feel your best without even trying. It's a beautiful, sunny day today and spring has officially sprung. Cheers to that! xo

It's Still Cold Outside

Anthropologie coat, American Apparel plaid shirt, Free People dress and beanie, Moni Moni bag, Natalie & Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice officer boots

Last weekend my parents were in NYC so I went over to visit, and gosh the cold hit me hard! I thought it was spring already people!!! I am not too keen on the still wearing a coat since it's nearly April already, but what can I do? Despite the high winds my family and I braved the cold around downtown to see some sights. I think I might have gotten sick from this weekend excursion, but the time I had with my parents was definitely worth the nearing on sore throat that I seem to be having right now. Hoping for a fast recovery because there's a lot I want to do this week and weekend, and I don't want any end of winter sickness to hold me back!

VERAMEAT // Pretty Little Things

I am so in love with my two delicate little pretties from VERAMEAT, a unique jewelry brand that I just discovered based out of NYC. The Littlest Mermaid ring reminds me of when I was little and worshiped Ariel from The Little Mermaid. And the Wishbone necklace keeps my luck close to my heart. Each piece is hand-crafted in NYC from the finest of materials. I love that the "About" page describes designer Vera Balyura as "a teller of winding tales in search of the extraordinary", because each and every piece on the site seems to tell a special story of the symbol it represents. And make sure to stop by the East Village, NYC shop, as well as the one in Beverly Hills, CA. You'll be sure to find your VERAMEAT match to wear on your finger or around your neck.

High Up

Free People vest, Evil Twin tunic, Hudson skinny jeans, vintage hat, Vintage Shoe Co. boots, Vanessa Mooney necklaces

There is nothing I love more than a good rooftop view, the wind in my hair and a big black hat to keep it all tame. Back in Philly after a long weekend in NYC with the family. Ate lots of Mexican food and bagels, danced to two awesome British bands in Williamsburg and trekked up and down Central Park like an Upper East Side champ. I love the little random adventures I find myself going on in the city. I can't wait for spring. When the weather warms up, things always get even more exciting. Can't wait to see what is in store for this season! xo

I Put A Spell On You

Evil Twin shawl and top, Citizens of Humanity jeans, vintage hat, Vanessa Mooney necklace, Mango cuff, Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice vintage Benni boots

Spring has officially sprung, and well, I'm feeling a tad witchy. While everyone is ready to bust out the pastels and too pretty florals, I'm trying to cast purple magic spells in watercolor-esque tiger stripes and witch hats. Though this vintage find actually reminds be a bit more of Antonio Banderas now that I actually think about it. Hocus Pocus or Zorro, whatever you want to call it, I'll take 'em both. Whatever. But seriously guys, Evil Twin just keeps coming out with all this fantastic stuff. Always a bit out of the ordinary and dark, Evil Twin helps bring forth my inner punk goddess. I'm embracing it as much as I can. I love the way that this shawl hangs and flows. It really is kind of like black magic. To go with my mood, I've been listening to a lot of DZ Deathrays, an awesome Australian band with punk vibes. I've been head banging to them so much these past few days.

Taking Friday off from work to head to NYC to see my parents who will be in town to visit. I've been feeling a little homesick lately, and seeing them is the best remedy for it right now. Follow me on Instagram to keep up with my weekend shenanigans!

And make sure to use BLOGLOVIN' to follow my blog, since I am no longer using Google Friend Connect! Trying to get all my Google followers to come follow me there! Talk soon :) xo

Skater Girl

There is so much I freaking love about this recent Teen Vogue April 2013 editorial. It brings to the surface everything that I know and love as a born and bred Southern California girl. Yeah yeah this editorial has been posted basically everywhere, but I couldn't help but give it another shout out here. Hurrah to oversized layered vests, cuttoffs, ready to kick it sneaks and boyish caps. The Cali girl is too cool for school and lives for the wind in her hair. Amen to that sistah.
