Coral Sea

Blazer and Skirt - H&M, Blouse -
Storets, Necklace - Forever 21, Boots - vintage

A look made up of my top wardrobe essentials: a lightweight blazer, a full-length maxi skirt, a soft chiffon blouse, ankle boots, and a statement necklace. Put them all together and you have an effortless look that's fool-proof, as well as extremely comfortable (an added bonus). It takes me through the weekend with ease. I've been slowly falling in love with the color coral. It's an upgrade from my winter obsession with rusty orange. Now it looks like teal blue is another color making its way into my life. Color, color, color. It's what has me most excited for spring! The weather has been drab the whole weekend, and wearing color just makes things feel and look so much better! Oh, and how many of you watched the Oscars yesterday? I have such a crush on Colin Firth because he is gorgeous, kind, and oh so talented. I'm so happy he won! I feel the same way about Natalie Portman. She is and always will be one of my favorite actresses of all time!

Here's to a bright week ahead!

Olivia's Layering

I am head over heels for this outfit of Olivia Palermo's that I saw on Stockholm Streetstyle. The pastel and blush tones mixed with the utilitarian and natural hues of brown, tan, and olive green is pure perfection. This is layering at its best and I am all for it!

Oh, and make sure to follow me on tumblr! I update it regularly now!

Finally! The video of my WWDMAGIC and Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge Las Vegas trip is done and up on Youtube! The entire time was such a blast that it HAD to be documented. These are all of my favorite moments!

Featuring Natalie Suarez from Natalie off Duty, Rebecca from Style with Benefits, Melanie from Wrecked Stellar, and Elim from The Style Seen. Thanks for an amazing time girls!

Visit my Youtube channel for more videos and hopefully more to come!

Red Tulip

Top - Urban Outfitters, Belt - vintage from CALICO, Skirt - Many Belles Down from Tilly Boutique, Boots - vintage, Bag - French Connection

The sunny sky we had earlier this week was reason enough to bust out this flirty skirt from Tilly Boutique. It just screams spring with its bold red color and pretty print. I couldn't resist putting it on despite that it was still a little chilly out. I was in the mood to pair it with pattern upon pattern, and it all came together quite nicely in the end. This is definitely a look worthy of a repeat once the sun comes out again! These pictures of my outfit are my first shot in manual mode. Obviously our technique is not quite perfect yet, but my sister and I have been practicing a lot since this shoot and we are finally getting the hang of it! YAY! The weekend is here and I could just jump for joy! I have another photo shoot planned on Sunday with another young and talented photographer. I'm so excited to see how it goes!

Going to get some coffee now because I am only 1/3-awake right now. Oh, and make sure to follow my tumblr!

Photography by Ann He

I am literally blown away by the photographic skills of the young Ann He. She's only 16 and her work is wildly amazing. I'm loving all the youth with talent I've been coming across lately. Here's to keeping art alive at any age. It's never too early or too late to create magic.

And hey, I have a tumblr now. It's about time. My laptop is about to burst from all the inspiration lurking in its hard drive. Now I have a place to store it all. Come follow me.

Easy Going

Cardigan - Kensie, Skirt - H&M, Belt - vintage from CALICO, Shoes - ModCloth, Bag - French Connection, Hat - vintage

Sunday was kind to us in Southern California and stayed sunny and quite warm. A lazy day that officially started off with a late lunch of Chinese food goodness (I'm dreaming of that beef fried rice we ordered) with a little shopping thrown in afterward. A maxi skirt always looks dressy but feels totally casual and comfortable, perfect for a day like this.

Finally found another vintage hat to keep my head company. Now if I can only get one exactly like this but in black. Still need to work on that Vegas video. I promise to get to it soon. Happy Tuesday everybody!

Airwalkers by Sharon Gong

airwalkers from Sharon Gong on Vimeo.

My sister Natalie and I feel so lucky to be shot by the incredibly talented Sharon Gong for the March/April 2011 issue of ATOMICA MAGAZINE. I really cannot believe that this girl behind the lens is only 16 years old. I cannot wait to see what she does in the future! She's so amazing! We shot these in the Pacific Palisades on the beach and at a random park we found. It was so easy to work with Sharon, and so much fun! I am so in love with these pictures. Definitely showcasing some sister love here. My favorite is the last one. I am for sure going to get that one blown up and framed. A picture truly says a thousand words. There's also a little video to go along with this editorial.

ATOMICA MAGAZINE is the brain child of another talent. Her name is Kelsea Kosko. She's only 17 and I've been a fan of her blog Let's Be Threads for quite a while. Can I say future fashion editor?? This girl gives Anna Wintour a run for her money. What's up with all this young creative talent bubbling all around us? The future is in their hands and it's so exciting!

WWDMAGIC and Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge

I love being a Teen Vogue girl!

I finally got the chance to look through my pictures from the WWDMAGIC trade show and Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge. I learned so much about the industry from a brand new perspective in just three days! The trade show was a perfect example of what really goes on behind the scenes in the fashion industry. Where do those clothes you see at the mall or the boutique down the street come from? It all starts with the relationship between the brands, the products, and the buyers. But there is so much more to this cycle than just that. How about us . . . the consumer? The girls who love fashion and who are the ones that make the biggest impact on the success or downfall of a brand. Hello . . . fashion bloggers!

We ran into the lovely Diana Kang from the blog Diana Kang! Such a nice surprise since I love her blog!

The amazing Hayley from Kensie! She was so outgoing and fun to talk to. She was so welcoming to all of us bloggers!

The two coolest ladies ever, twins Rebecca from Style With Benefits and Melanie from Wrecked Stellar.

Blogger love! My sister and I can't wait to hang with these girls again here in L.A.!

The beautiful and fabulous Canadian blogger Elim Chu from The Style Seen.

The amazing dresses at the Kensie booth.

Stacks and stacks of Teen Vogue issues. This is where my love for fashion really started

Getting our pink bubbly on at the Kensie party.

Rebecca is my girl! Peace.

At one of my favorite booths . . . the Blue Bird booth. Natalie modeled for the brand not too long ago and her face was all over the place!

Can I just have everything from Blue Bird? This booth was packed with buyers! Everyone wanted Blue Bird for their shop!

One of the most good-looking couples at the trade show. They were so sweet, too. That suit is dapper.

Melanie doing what bloggers do best.

With the amazing and super funny Vu from Threadsense. He was documenting the whole event while his team was going on buying meetings with all the brands.

A snapshot of just one view of the Las Vegas convention center. The place was HUGE!

The Free People booth was one of my favorites. I lusted over every single item!

Morgan from Free People gave Natalie and I a personal tour of the collections. Who wants some fringe?

The blogger panels featuring one of fashion's most influential bloggers, Jane from Sea of Shoes. It was so lovely meeting her and her mom at the event.

Us bloggers having fun with sour watermelons.

Natalie and I with the amazing Jazzy McGilbert from the blog Jazzi McG.

Starting off the second day of the trade show with some very strong coffee.

Bloggers uniting for one of many photo ops. That's Taisa from Amahzing Blog in the cream blazer and headband.

The beautiful and oh so chic Elisa and Francesca from Italian brand P. & T. Furs. They were so lovely.

More rad outfits from the coolest girls ever Rebecca and Melanie.

Me posing in front of the Jessica Simpson booth right by the Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge. The coffee still hasn't kicked in just yet.

Right after the Rebecca Minkoff dinner at Aria hotel. Right before heading to The Cosmopolitan hotel for the Hudson Jeans part at Marquee nightclub. It was an AMAZING night!

I wore a Queen's Wardrobe dress and True Religion leather jacket for the party. I danced the night away and it felt so good!

Posing all crazy at the Hudson Jeans party with one of the cute French guys we met (this photo really doesn't give the dude justice, I swear!). haha

Bloggers were reporting directly from the Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge all day, and so many brands were embracing our presence at the show. The Internet is quickly becoming one of the major platforms for a brand to market its clothing, and fashion bloggers are one of the best people to start with when it comes to making its mark in the world wide web because we are honest and really know what we like and don't. I'm so lucky that my sister and I got a chance to be a part of this thanks to Volcom, Teen Vogue, and Fashionably Marketing! My favorite part, of course, was meeting all the bloggers and making new friends. These girls rule! I took a lot more pictures, but these were just a few of my favorites! If I come across more, I'll get them up here in a future post! I am still working on the video of the trip!
