Happy Monday and Happy Halloween! I had an amazing weekend! How about you? Making this a quick one because it's the start of yet another busy work week. Still, it's going to be an exciting one ;) Gonna start this week off with a post featuring some shoe porn. Aren't these babies by Pour La Victoire scrumptious? And the color is so fall-worthy.

Little Boho Child

Dress - Urban Outfitters, Bag - Velvetine, Shoes - Dr. Martens, Bracelets - random including LUXLA and Vanessa Mooney

What I love most about Philadelphia is all the different places you can visit within walking distance, and they are all so completely different from each other. Whether is be Center City, Washington Square West, Old City, Fishtown, Northern Liberties, South Philly, or West Philly, you can be sure to quickly get to know a particular stamp that defines each that makes it special. Here I am out and about in the cool and hip Northern Liberties. It's so quiet and quaint here on the weekends. Always a good restaurant to eat at, a cool bar at the corner, and a fashionable person walking down the street. This up and coming part of the city is one of my favorite places. When it comes to Philly overall, I really have come to love the diverse set of textures and colors I see just walking down the block. Old school red brick brownstones, rusty metal chain link fences, and beaten up graffiti filled walls like this are a feast for the eyes. Philly is a place that never looks boring. That is always something to count on.

California Dreaming

Pictures taken by me

Sometimes I feel like I am too busy with my life here in Philly to really stop and miss California. But really, deep down inside, I know that I really do miss this place all the way on the other side of the country. It's where I was born. It's where I was raised. It will always be dear to my heart. I miss it so much that I already have my plane ticket booked for December. I'm going home for a week to spend time with my family and friends during Christmas. I am too excited for words! I haven't been in California since the beginning of May. It's about time I look forward to endless miles of highways, outdoor shopping centers, bike rides on the boardwalk, summer in December weather, and those jaw droppingly stunning sunsets. Even if it's just for a little while. California's slow pace and the peaceful parts of my sleepy suburban town in the valley is going to be a nice little break from my hectic life here on the east coast. See you soon Cali. It's been too long.

Jeans - Windsors, Sweater - Urban Outfitters, Shirt - H&M, Shoes - Dr. Martens, Bag - Velvetine

This past weekend was kind of amazing. I got to catch up with my favorite people in Philly, helped my friend shop for picture frames at a random flea market, found out that the most rocking Philly cheesesteak sandwich is at the IKEA food court, did some shopping in the city (including finding the most awesome cargo jacket at Target of all places), watched Dumb and Dumber and got officially hooked on The Walking Dead. I'm all revved up for this work week leading up to another weekend full of Halloween celebrations, including my friend Kim's birthday shindig (it looks like some fashion bloggers are going to be in town). And Natalie is coming down to celebrate, as well! I still need to come up with costumes, go pumpkin and apple picking, and all that good old fall festivity fluff. I love anything cheesy. You know me.

I've worn these red pants so many times before, but I haven't yet shown them on the blog. They are prone to stopping traffic, but that's why I like them. Legs was my nickname in junior high school. I was the tallest girl on dance team. And I could definitely kick the highest. Hey, if you got flaunt it.

Midnight City by M83

Ever since I first heard this song when I was out dancing one night, it's been stuck in my head. And then I kept hearing it every other time I went out at night. And finally my friend Cheryl posted the song on her music blog, and I was like . . . OMG! My song! Yes! Thank you! It always puts me in the mood to just dance the night away. Those are the best types of songs.

Lindsey Wixon for Oyster Magazine. This girl's got it. Sometimes I really wish I had gap between my two front teeth. You know, if I could look as cool as Lindsey with one.

New In: Ballet Flats

My search for the perfect little ballet flats has finally ended, thanks to Pour La Victoire. I even got these babies in red. Being almost 6 feet tall, flat shoes are a must in my wardrobe. These totally fit the bill.

Dress - Urban Outfitters, Snood - Saint Claude, Denim Jacket - GAP, Wedges - Wanted, Bag - Velvetine

Just taking a casual stroll around the city before it turns night. It is moments like this that are completely and utterly perfect. Gotta spend them wisely and savor their every last drop. You know . . . before it turns into night and things get wild. And then you wake up in the morning and think . . . how . . . why . . . but it was so much fun!! Then you look forward to repeating it all over again. Yes, living young in the city. It's a beautiful thing.

How Deep Is Your Love by The Rapture

I saw this band play last night and it was THE CRAZIEST time ever! They are THAT GOOD. I think I was elbowed and shoved about a million times during their set, but that just added to the energy. I was front and center and it was well worth it!

Some shots that I took of the crowd during the Derek Lam show that Natalie and I attended during NYFW. Do you recognize any famous fashion faces sitting in the front row? Anna Wintour in the flesh. I can spot that perfectly placed bob from a mile away. Total epic moment for me right there.

Pictures from eat.sleep.wear

These are some awesome pictures that my friend Kim took at the Lela Rose show we attended. I forgot my camera this day, so I am so happy she got these sweet shots! I know fashion week was ages ago, but better late than never right? Life has been crazy busy lately, and I am still playing catch up. Bare with me, please.

Walking in the Sky

Dress - American Apparel, Jacket - True Religion, Belt - vintage, Shoes - Wanted, Bag - Velvetine

So, you can expect only short hair posts from now on. Thank goodness! Aren't you relieved you don't have to stare at me with my old long locks anymore? You bet you are!

Here I am in in one of my favorite dresses. You know, just doing my thing . . . make the world a tad more colorful with what I wear.

Keep It Cool by U.S. Royalty

Saw this band play here in Philly Monday night. They put on an awesome show. The lead singer has THE BEST stage presence. Gotta love a man who can both sing AND move. Check them out.
