Everyone who knows me and reads my blog basically knows how much I love love love Malaysian food. With nearly all of my mom's side of the family living in Malaysia right now, and being able to visit the country on a sort of regular-every-4-year-basis since birth, has allowed me to get a true taste of the culture. And now that I don't live at home to enjoy my mom's home-cooked dishes, I have to seek out the best little spots to suit my taste buds. Nyonya is one of my favorite Malaysian restaurants in NYC. Tastes just like the real thing. This place plays no games. If you ever are in the city and are looking for something new to try, check this place out. It's located right where Chinatown and Little Italy cross paths. You won't be disappointed. And make sure to try the Nasi Lemak, the coconut rice dish, and the Char Kway Teow, the savory stir-fried noodles. Two classics!

Coconut rice right now seems insanely good. Is Malaysian food kind of like Thai? Looks so yum though.

This looks great! The only Malaysian restaurant I've ever been to is Penang, but now I want to try this one!
It all looks so delish! Malaysian is the only Asian style of food I haven't tried yet. Next time I go to NYC I'll definitely have to hit up Nyonya.
