I love people watching on the subway. Be it here in Philly or there in NYC. Always such an interesting melting pot of emotions swirled up in one place. I catch myself sometimes imagining the personalities of the people I see. The way they slouch in their seat, interact with others, or even just how quickly they jump out at their stop to get to their next destination. Gives me a little peek at who they might be. Maybe I'll start a conversation. Maybe I'll smile and catch an eye. Or maybe I'll just keep to myself and wonder. Long lost subway rides. Sometimes mundane. Always in transit.

that was beautiful writing and i love the more personal tone to your thoughts with the pictures! I ride the bus and I always imagine what the other passengers' stories are

I actually miss that from London since I moved to Mexico City a couple of months ago. (although I wasn't such a fan if the tube back then!)
Beautiful photographs. It's Nadia no?
That was one of my favorite things to do when I was in NYC

Nothing better than people watching on the subway. I'm going to miss that when I move to LA.

Perfect scene!

Subways are the best, you see so many crazy, random, funny people. Always something new to look out for.

Oh my. I was in NYC for the first time several days ago, my first time on a subway. It was different from our California BART but all the same exciting. I too caught myself people watching, just diversity in a movie cart!
