Free People | Off the Beaten Path

Wanted to finally post these images I photographed for Free People's Off the Beaten Path story, featured on the Free People blog. I had the best day working with Joanna Rentz and Ali Kolbe of Free People, snapping away at this lovely new face, Elle Dawson, who just recently got signed with New York Models. Congrats girl! I knew you were a superstar in the making as soon as I took the first picture :) We photographed all over the small upstate New York town of Cold Spring. A town full of quaint little houses, nature all around and the most amazing view of the surrounding forests from the highest hillsides. I felt so far removed from anything remotely NYC feeling, and I breathed in hard to let that feeling stay with me a little bit longer. We worked to capture the essence of the girl on a path, exploring her option of the road in front of her and the nature around her. A girl strong enough to stand the test of time, and calm enough to be one with the world around her at the same time.
