This is my second time shooting my friend Julie :) Always love how natural she is in front of the camera. With her hair freshly cut, I wanted to take full advantage of her tomboyishness and do something a little more punk and grungy on her Bushwick rooftop. We only had about 30 minutes of sunlight left on this chilly day, so we had to act fast. She was already wearing this super fab, oversized earrings. So 80s! And complemented the harshness of the studded leather jacket I threw over her shoulders. This girl makes rips and tears look glam as heck. Julie and I used to work together back at my first job in NYC at a lingerie start up. We sat literally shoulder to shoulder in our tiny and cluttered office space in the heart of the Garment District. I feel like I've gotten to know this girl so well during the time we worked together. Love you Julie, you little punk :)
