Here we are, back in Dongdaemun, where all the city action is! Home of Seoul Fashion Week and unlimited shops to get our Korean face mask fix. Bibimbap and bulgogi gave us energy throughout our long days, and bubble teas cooled us off in-between. We felt like kids in a candy shop walking through the street markets. So many sweets and snacks to choose from. Our heads were so dizzy we could hardly stand up. Thankfully, we found this lovely river to rest at before our last show of the day, and once again we were transported to another time. The Cheonggyecheon River brought us back to a more simple and peaceful Korea. One that is many steps back from the fast-paced city it is today. Ashley, Natalie and I danced around the edges and enjoyed the amazingly mild weather that the city gave us as locals zig zagged their ways through the hectic streets above. But the noises of cars, trucks, children, sizzling street meat, and heavy footed commuters seemed far removed from us down by the water. A slight foggy haze in the distance made the setting feel even more dreamy. It's interesting when so many other cities are described as kinds that never sleep. I think that Seoul fits right into that category just as well. But even then, there are always hidden escapes to find comfort in where you'd least expect them.

OMG, these photos are fantastic. You really captured the essence of Seoul so well. One of my very best friends was born here but her parents are from Seoul. Not sure what's cuter, your nod to the mod booties or the toddlers.
